Philosophy

I am always open to both laughter and tears, as I believe: trust, authenticity and connection are essential. I fully believe that we are strengthened by genuine connections to ourselves, and through our relationships to others; so it is my passion to explore this with individuals and the community. I make every effort to instill hope, and hold hope with families and individual clients.

I am committed to helping individuals and families heal and become aware of their own inspiring strengths. As we navigate through life and relationships, there are experiences that cause us to be confronted with grief, loss, loneliness and a number of other complicated emotions. We may feel confusion around our relationships, self, and purpose. In these moments, compassion, hope and nonjudgment are key. I feel strongly that these healing elements are my committed way of being. I always strive to maintain spunk, authenticity, and warmth with all individuals I get the honor to work alongside.

I utilize an integrated, holistic approach with all clients, and interactive therapeutic play with the youngest clients. I work primarily with children (beginning at age 5 and up), adolescents, and those in young adulthood (18 to 30s). I am trained in playtherapy, family work, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), complicated grief, and trauma (including physical, sexual and emotional abuse). Above all, I feel strongly that nonjudgement, trust and connection drive every therapeutic approach.

I look forward to sharing this with you!
