Philosophy

I’ve been drawn to counseling throughout my life because I believe it is a resource that anyone can use to safely explore and navigate all of life’s experiences. In my practice, I work to build a therapeutic relationship and style that is right for you and I do this by collecting direct feedback from you as we work together. From there, we can work toward healing trauma and loss; developing effective tools and skills to increase life satisfaction despite difficult circumstances; and/or discovering and exploring higher stages of growth, understanding, and relationships. I work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families.  In addition, I teach mindfulness skills to prevent burnout and secondary trauma to individuals and groups of helping professionals.
