Philosophy

I strongly believe in using creativity to begin the journey towards self-reflection and empowerment. The road to healing often begins in finding your voice and expressing your inner self. My approach to therapy is developing safety within our relationship that redefines past unhealthy relationships and trauma. I use creative interventions to process emotions and memories in a safe way. Through art therapy, you will learn ways to reconnect with your body’s signals and increase mindfulness. The creative process itself can be a source of confidence, control, and self-exploration.

I believe in reducing barriers to mental health care for those with marginalized identities. I am holistic in my approach and address systemic influences on identity, relationships, and functioning. I explore all intersections of identity such as but not limited to culture, race, sexuality, gender, age, ability, immigration, and socioeconomic status. I create a safe place for you to express yourself and experience vulnerability in a restorative space.
