Sometimes folks can feel stuck, repeating the same pattern again and again, despite it not serving them. My goal is to support clients in understanding their patterns and working together to create comfortable change in their lives. I use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), person-centered therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and play therapy to support adults and children in moving forward, through traumas, transitions, and challenges, and into a life that feels better for them.
In addition to supporting those working through trauma, I also work with the LGBTQIA+ community. My emphasis is on the systemic trauma that impacts LGBTQIA+ folks, and supporting trans and non-binary individuals throughout gender transition. This may include helping folks feel more comfortable, support around family and coming out, and just being a safe place to talk about gender. My greatest joy is seeing clients feel more comfortable in themselves and their lives.
